Drive It
Learn the craft of high-speed driving or hone your existing skills
If you’re going to put yourself behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang FR500S, you want to make sure that you know exactly what you’re doing. As racing cars go, the FR500S is one of the most user-friendly, confidence-inspiring machines available. But there is a right way and a wrong way to go about turning fast laps.
There is no better place to learn the craft of high-speed driving or hone your existing skills than the Ford Racing High Performance Driving School. Based at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, it is the world’s only such Ford Racing school and is also the place where the FR500S was born and developed.
The Ford Racing High Performance Driving School utilizes professional racing drivers and one of the world’s most renowned racing facilities to help you achieve your maximum potential. Cars utilized include a modified Ford Mustang GT and the Ford Mustang FR500S. Whether your goal is to become a professional racing driver, to participate in non-competitive track days or just to be a better driver, the school has a program to suit your needs.
Programs range from one to three days, and run the gamut of curricula from enhancing high-performance driving skills to complete race training. There is also a program that can get you licensed with the Miller Park Racing Association, a license that is recognized by the Sports Car Club of America and the National Auto Sports Association.

ONE-DAY PERFORMANCE DRIVING SCHOOL
This course is designed to teach high-performance driving skills to those seeking professional instruction and behind-the-wheel track time. Taught in the classroom and in our Miller Mustang GT, this course offers instruction in advanced car control techniques and vehicle dynamics. The course outline includes: a morning classroom session, skill development exercises, a lead-follow track familiarization session and afternoon lapping sessions.
TWO-DAY PERFORMANCE DRIVING SCHOOL
With a second day, students will enjoy more track time (5 sessions total), but on a new track configuration. Each practice session builds upon the last, with guidance and advice from our staff of dedicated instructors. Drive in the Miller Mustang GTs or upgrade to the FR500S for an additional fee. At the end of the Two-Day School, you will be ready to move toward receiving an MPRA license. SCCA and NASA recognize the MPRA license; ask about our MPRA licensing school.
THREE-DAY PERFORMANCE DRIVING SCHOOL
Building on the previous two days of school, our instructors work closely with students to fine-tune driving techniques, both in the classroom and on the track. Lead-follow sessions graduate into exercises requiring greater concentration with instructors positioning their cars to simulate real racing situations. Depending on specific goals, race-start practice sessions may also be inserted into the program. Be sure to upgrade to the FR500S for an additional fee.
